If you are new to couponing chances are that all those crazy abbreviations out in the "coupon world" are totally confusing you! I know when I started it looked like I was reading another language...and it completely overwhelmed me! So, here's a list of abbreviations to help get you started. It is by no means EVERY SINGLE ONE, but it's a start. I will add to it as I think of more. :)
Abbreviations for inserts in your newspaper:
PG = Procter and Gamble
RP = Red Plum
SS = SmartSource
Other terms seen/used often:
B1G1 or BOGO = Buy One, Get One FreeB2GI = Buy Two, Get One Free
DEAD = Offer No Longer Valid
DND = Do Not Double
EX or X = Expires On
FAR = Free After Rebate
FILLER = Item Purchased to Reach a Minimum Total in Order to Get a “Deal”
GC = Gift Card
HTH = Hope That Helps
IP = Internet Printable
MC or MQ = Manufacturer’s coupon
MIR = Mail In Rebate
NED = No Expiration Date
OOP = Out of Pocket
STACKING: Using Both a Store Coupon and a Manufacturer’s Coupon on One Item
TMF = Try Me Free Offer
UPC = Universal Product Code – Those black straight lines with numbers under them
YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary – Deal may work for someone else, but it may not work for you.

Other definitions:
RR = Register Reward - unique to Walgreens and printed at Walgreens at time of checkoutCatalina = Coupon printed at the same time as your receipt at the checkout
