This doesn't seem like the BEST deal around, but if you're in the market for a cute bag for your kids then this is for you. It says that you get a FREE reusable bag when you send in two UPCs and fill out the form, BUT there is a $1.75 "shipping charge". So, really you can get a cute bag for $1.75. I don't think that it is fair of Kellogg's promote it as a free bag and then charge for shipping....just sayin'...... :)

My daughter was the first to go down with it on Sunday night and as of 30 minutes ago her temp is 99.8 :( We are praying that it's out of here by next Wednesday because we had big plans for spring break! Well...three out of four kids are still sick at our house. We decided tonight to just cancel the yard sale. Hard for me to do since all the stuff is sitting out on the tables at my parent's house. But it was getting too complicated trying to figure out how we were going to sit at the sale and take care of sick kids. So my husband will be boxing it up tomorrow night and we'll put it away in the garage for a few months and try again later.

Sick kids + trying to do a yard sale = not much time for blogging!

Just wanted to let you know that I may not be posting quite as much over the next few days. Three out of four of my kids are running high fevers (my daughter has had it since Monday) and one is throwing up. PLUS we were trying to do a yard sale at my parent's house tomorrow and Friday. Haven't decided what to do about that since we were just going to stay overnight there for the next couple of days. So, blogging may be sparse but I will try and update when I have a minute or two. I love getting all kinds of freebies and good deals, but pictures are my FAVORITE! :) I got this picture developed free from Walgreens last week and today I finally had time to hang it up! Love it! :)

So, the name of my blog is "Total $avings". (in case you hadn't noticed.) ;) The whole purpose behind starting this blog was to try and keep track of where my money goes and just how much I was actually saving. I've added a "My Total Savings" link to the top left column of my blog. I'm VERY interested to see how much I actually SAVE when using coupons! =) I encourage you to do the same thing at home! Hang on to your receipts and this Friday we will start a weekly gathering of our totals per week. I think it's going to be exciting to watch the numbers grow!

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has a great Urban birds kit available for you after registering on their site. My husband is a teacher and has bird feeders outside the windows of his classroom...what a fun activity for them! :) Here's a little blurb from their site:

"We would like as many people as possible to participate in Celebrate Urban Birds and use the project resources. The 10-minute bird observation is at the heart of the project and the kit materials support that 10-minute citizen science observation, but there are lots of other materials and resources on the web site."
