Speaking of movie night....we are having a family move night tonight watching a new DVD that came in the mail today. I got it FREE with my Disney Movie Rewards. (This is a great rewards program… especially if you have kiddos that love Disney movies. Basically every time you purchase a Disney DVD you earn points. There are also free codes - which is how I get most of my points!- Once you’ve earned enough points, you can then redeem them for a reward! They have lots of different rewards available from electronics to toys, DVDs and more! If you want to sign up here is a 5 point code to get you started: K2HM73MC9L )

Free Zyrtec at Target

Check out this possible money maker on Zyrtec at Target. The coupon states that it can't be used on travel sizes, but the 5 count is by the other meds and is not the travel size. I'm hoping to get to Target tomorrow and do this deal myself! :) *update* - I went and they didn't have any left on the shelf. :(

Zyrtec 5ct Package – $4.76
$2/1 Zyrtec Product
$4/1 Zyrtec Allergy Relief TARGET coupon
Final Price: $1.24 Money Maker! YMMV (your mileage may vary)
Target's policy is to price adjust the coupon, but most times the cashiers just push it through. Worst case scenario ~ you still come home with free Zyrtec. ;)

Toddler Thursday

We just got a new Goodwill in Hudson last year and I LOVE IT! The best part is that every Thursday all their kids' clothing is 50% off. I try to go when I can (and when our budget allows) so that I can get stocked up on school clothes for next year. Here are the treasures that I found last night. =)

Clothes for Riley:
2 split skirts
2 skirts
1 pair of capris (my sister in law can make this into a super cute jean skirt!)
1 "church dress" for next spring
1 school dress
1 turtle neck (I was so excited that it matched the dress perfectly!)

Clothes for the boys:

1 pair of bib overalls (Connor - 12mo. for next year)
1 striped fleece (Caleb)
1 pair of jeans (Caleb)
4 shirts (Charlie - school)
1 sweater (Charlie - school)
1 pair of jeans (Charlie - school)
1 flannel jacket (Charlie - school)

I'm finding out how quickly little boys go through jeans when they hit age 3 and 4....so anytime I find jeans without holes I pick them up! =)

Total before sale: $71.48
Total after sale: $35.74
Total per item: about $2

Free Magazines Pay Off!

There are several "mom" magazines that I've signed up for that I get for free. Not only are they something fun to get in the mail, but often there are great coupons inside! Here's a great example. A while ago I pulled out a 20% off diapers coupon for Amazon in Parent's magazine. I knew that you could use TWO codes per purchase so I held on to it and yesterday I got another coupon for $10 off in the newest Parent's magazine. Now, on top of that if you sign up for Amazon Mom (free and can cancel at any time) you get free shipping and 30% off your order. Which made it so I could get a box of size 3 diapers (96 count) for $1.49! =)

Below is what the transaction looked like. I had a gift card balance from doing swagbucks which picked up the $1.49 so I spent $0.00 out of pocket!

Item purchased (plus S&H): $32.43
Shipping discount: -$9.44
Promotion applied: -$10.00
Promotion applied: -$4.60
Subscription discount: -$6.90
----------------------------------
Total: $1.49
Balance after gift card $0.00

Hooray for FREE diapers!!!!!!!!!! =)

Total time spent preparing coupons: 2 seconds :)
Total time spent shopping: 15 minutes (it took me a while to find the best deal!)

Teaching them young!

Target Clearance Trip ~3/19~

We put the kids in their jammies on Friday night and strolled through Target just checking out the clearance racks....there aren't many other places to go for "family fun night" with snow still all over the ground! =) I picked up a few things then and when I saw the lightbulbs, detergent, and crayola art sets I knew there were coupons for those things. So, Nate went back on Saturday morning with the coupons and got those. I LOVE seeing those red stickers!!

Here's what we got.......

Total before clearance and coupons: $207.98
Total after clearance and coupons: $35.15
Total saved: $172.83
Also received a $5 gift card for glade products

Total time spent preparing coupons: 15 minutes
Total time spent shopping: ?? We were just strolling the store... =)
